Production Merchandiser

We are looking for a driven and pro-active candidate to join our fast paced merchandising team as a hard goods Production Merchandiser. Details of the role are below;

The role is responsible for corresponding & handling international buyers directly as well as handling outbound & inbound buying agencies independently.

Keys Skills

• Ability to solve problems and organize tasks with an action based approach to meet deadlines.

• Ability to analyse market trends and buyer requirements and develop design-led samples to exacting specifications.

• To co-ordinate with buyers & Buying Agencies for sample and shipment approvals from labs and hired inspection agencies.

• Ability to oversee communication with vendors and production departments and to deliver accurate production update reports.

• Confident communication both verbal and written.

Experience

• 2-4 years of practical experience in merchandising, familiarity with aspects of marketing, merchandising as well as production & quality improvements procedures is desirable.

• Demonstration of general management skills and strong supervisory experience, including time budgeting and production management.

• Ability to use technical skills & knowledge to identify problems and to recommend the most efficient/effective solutions.

• Experience in preparation of critical paths and schedules and the ability to use strategies to identify potential bottle necks in advance.

• Experience of monitoring production and effectively handling quality issues with the production team.

• Good standard of communication skills, both written and verbal.
